He contacted me via LinkedIn and then he wrote me a couple of emails. As a language teacher I can easily detect flaws when somebody writes to me. He sent me pictures but as I distrusted him, I asked him to meet via Skype, which he rejected. I googled him and I saw the same picures in a German dating website and he went by the name of Giovanni Alvisi.
